My take on "'Tis So Sweet." Apologies for the bits of ambient noise -- I'm new at this. My thanks to my to my camera man, Louie Asche. Please check myspace: http://www.myspace.com/markasche

  • Wow, love the way you play that, very impressin'!

Btw, hope you don't mind I'm asking: What do YOU think which dpiano has the 'best' piano voice (in this class)?....Casio PX310/320, Yami P85 or something else? -Thanks

  • Thank you, L77kim77I.

Regarding the various keyboards that you mentioned, I'm probably not informed enough to answer. I'd err on the side of Yamaha. I don't like the feel of the Y. keyboard especially, but the sound is there.

I've become *accustomed* to the Casio sound, and really like the 'board for great action, light weight, and goofy features. I use the drum grooves (quite nice for a cheapy 'board) in a duo I play in, and the splits and Rhodes nicks are useful.

    Thanks again.

  • VERY, VERY NICE.

  • Thanks so much.

  • very nice! I think you should post more videos because they´re really good, by the way, is that a sampled piano?

  • Thanks so much, leolazarte. I have a few jazz things I hope to post soon, as well as some more hymns, but I'm stuck presently in the middle of some 'home improvement.'

I'm using a Casio PX310 to trigger a 20 year old Kurzweil 1000 PX module. The piano you hear is the Kurzweil, which still think sounds very good. I'm running it through a cheapie Behringer keyboard amp, but all in all, it's a nice sound.

Now to get my playing together...

  • Thats my same exact keyboard!!

  • Nice, like the combinations in the left and right

  • nice playing man. great amalgam of influences. post some more!

  • ok man thanks. lets keep in touch

  • I'm now using and M-Gear pedal that I found at Musician's Friend. It's a bona fide *pedal* -- not one of those cheesy slabs/swithches that are always sliding around. It's built solid, doesn't move, and has switchable polarity. I think it was about 20 bucks, which is a killer deal compared to some of the name-brand pedals.

    Thanks for checking in.

  • hey man nice playing. one question. wat kind of sustain pedal do u use? i have a crusade soon n i have to use a privia. but the sustain works in reverse do u think there is a feature to change the polarity? if so please let mi know. thanks
