Timber rattlesnakes, unlike some other species, are
surprisingly docile creatures that seldom threaten humans or livestock.
Learn how to distinguish them from non-poisonous snakes and what to do if
you encounter one. Timber rattlers are an important part of the ecosystem,
and MVC conserves their bluffland habitats.

  • @runnerrk im sick of people like you

  • I've dispatched a few crotalus horridus' over the years, protected species be damned...as well as copperheads and moccasins.....when I find them too near my home....

by the way...snakes are venomous, not poisonous...were they poisonous, you couldn't eat them...

  • poison is absorbed and is not the proper word. Venom is the proper word because it is injected. Great video otherwise

  • Cool video, I agree I wish more people got this message. They did mess up something else too, they show a Eurasian Badger, you'd think they would know their own state animal!

  • excellent video. If only more people actually got this message. The only thing wrong is the terminology in the video. The proper term is venomous/non-venomous, not posionous/non-poisonous.
