Everyday driving around Auckland is like an episode of some Police Motorway Patrol TV series. Little wonder NZ's roads are amongst the most dangerous in the World. It would help if the Police were not fixated on easy Speeding and Drink driver offenders. I suggest big fines for careless driving to perk the interest of the Police.

  • what camera equipment are you using?

  • @adimw At the time of this video I was using Contour 1080p's front and rear. I believe a Contour Roam is now Contours entry level camera, it is cheaper and I also believe the picture quality is better. Contour sell screen mounts (which I use) and Ram Mounts also sell them. The cameras are cheapest on ebay and amazon, even if customs sting you with GST etc they are still cheaper than buying them here.

  • @CarBoundCyclist hmmm, im using a "720p HD DVR" but it is actually 480p and cost about $100 from Trademe. It supports loop recording and it looks like the Contours don't? thanks for your reply

  • @adimw I am now using an 808 #11 (Jumbo) in the rear 720p $80 inc postage see "Tailgater almost hits me WC6754" you can get the standard version (poor battery life) for $50 they will take a 32gb card, it won't loop either (close and continue), but with the supplied 12v power adaptor it will record for a long time

  • This looks like a good day to me. Drivers in Auckland are terrible. Alot worse happens everyday. Sad thing is you don't have to be driving for more than 5 mins to see this kind of behavior.

  • @LethalCssPlayer haha, yes, true this is just nornal driving in Auckland. with the type of lens the camera has (very wide angle) and can't tell just how bad things are, and at any distance from the camera the detail is way too small to be worth posting. As you say this is just constant (in Auckland at least)

  • Tasmanian drivers are just as bad, that's why I have a GPS 1080p camera in the car. I have a dual battery setup, so I can leave it on when away from the car, and it lasts for 3 or more days without going anywhere to recharge the battery in the boot. I just uploaded a new video of a noob in a commodore who cut me off yesterday. It's worth watching the slowmo bit carefully. she isn't even looking as she pulls out in front of me. Lucky for her I have quick reflexes and a sweet ride with good tires.

  • @CarBoundCyclist thats terrible,we have the same thing here too in Indonesia where they bribe the cops to make a driving license

  • @KPKaccountt No, I think he was a Pacific Islander or part, assuming the bad drivers are all Asian is a very popular misconception in NZ, NZer’s are all too ready to blame other nationalities, bad driving is universal in NZ as the test is a joke so no professional training is needed in order to easily pass. Still there are many drivers that don't even take a test = not much chance of being stopped or even noticed

  • 1:26 the driver isasian ! so it;s possible that she came from south east asian country where their driving style is like this
