I wanted to save some money and start a new project so decided to remove and install a new 2.2 Coup 1999 Pontiac Sunfire Front Wheel Drive Transmission. The estimates I received around town told me that I would have to pay between $1,500 to $2,000 for labor and parts. Needless to say, I took matter into my own hands. It is a lot of work, but I thought I could learn a few things, so I took on the project. This isnt for everyone, I had to troubleshoot a lot and I had an Army Auto Craft shop at my disposal. Its a fun project and I would strongly recommend getting under the hood.
The commentary is short Im still installing over pieces so this is basically a part one: Removing the Transmission.
Those Army auto craft shops are the shiznit! Did a lot of work on cars at Fort Hood's auto shops.
