Cheetahs hunt a Topi and its baby. Baby doesn't get away, so the Cheetah have a short meal before the lone Hyena comes in to take it.
Wildlife can be brutal, but all of it needs to be saved.
*Filmed in Kenya, Africa 2008 on a night drive at Olare Orok Conservancy

I did the best I could to capture it on film. It was too dark and creepy outside to get closer.
THANKS FOR WATCHING!

  • @Pakunin61 If you watch the film you will see that the hunting already took place. When our jeep turned the corner we drove up on a scene already taking place. The first lights are the jeeps headlights. We then did use a spotlight a few times to see what else was out there. They do now use lighter red lights than the white spotlight used here so it is less on the animals. It seemed that the walking Topi's simply walked into two resting cheetahs, and then we drove up.

  • it's not that easy filming in the wild,so i think everybody would understand i read the description and i think you are humble enough to admit the risky situation,so you made my two thumbs up man;D

  • @jacoeyztify Thanks. Most people probably don't understand the nature shows they see on tv have multiple cameras, take weeks-months to get enough footage to make it, and at times will use different animals to tell the "story" of one animal. I am amazed at how people holidng one small video camera can get some great footage here on YouTube. Luck plus the skills of your guide/driver and in this case, being able to find my camera in the dark and having battery power helped. Thanks for watching!

  • NEVER SEEN CHEETAHS HUNT A T NIGHT BEFORE

  • @Gr8Candid8 yeah it was most likely that these two had been following mom and baby for a while. Night came pretty fast with the clouds coming in. Or it could have been the topis just walked up where the cheetahs were resting and keeping away from lion. to have it all take place as we turned the corner was unreal.

  • you dumb shit, cheetah's depend on their speed, if they get injured they wont be able to hunt, and so they cant risk it and fight, watch some national geographic punk, educate yourself

  • you trying to reason w/ a wild animal?..damn human culture is so cruel for allowing you to speak..

  • to bad cheetahs cant eat as fast as they run

  • @kers52ghosthunter Cheetah's have to eat to, but they always get their food stolen. Darn Hyena's.

  • its sad to see something like this happen but in the end its just nature.... we cant go in there and say what nature can and cant do because in the end its the carnivores that suffer!

  • WTH?? I thought cheetahs only ate Cheetos. You have crushed me, sir.

  • ooh so the cheetah ate the baby topi and the hyena ate the jackal. btw that hena looks exactly like banzai from the lion king.
