im from uk and the tom petranoff advice is sound !!!]
i think he would say work on you steps equal left and right push right pull left proppelling yourself foward onto your left leg block!!! watch all the big hitters and you will see there footwork is very controlled facing the way they are throwing not!!!! sideways 45 degree max or you will block your hips resulting in a poor throw, hope this helps p.s i was a uk international and a qualified javelin coach
your best advice is dont ask for advice on youtube because you arent gonna get any advice that is worth a damn from these shitheels. Try and gather any advice you can from Tom Petranoff, he is the only knowledgeable javelin coach in the US.
when you are on your cross over keep your arm higher because with your arm low down your body gets in the way when you follow through where as if you keep your arm higher your body is out the way causing your arm to move quicker. other than that and the spin at the end you got a good techneque keep it up :)
ok so at the very end of your throw you switch your feet instead of following through in a straight line a good jav throw will end with you hopping forward about 5 feet dont switching your feet at the end
your plant foot need to be more out front of your body, also you need to plant with the very bottom of your heel first, upon the plant foot coming in contact with the ground, you hips and chest come around first, then the throwing arm, which is not thrown like a baseball but like pulling something from directly behind yourself
straighten your lead leg and turn your opposite leg in(drop your kneee) and keep your shoulders back and rotate with yourlead arm going to your side, not your left shoulder dropping

Hey Im a College Coach who has coached many 200 footers
And i saw what they were posting on the web.
Some of what is posted is correct but most is BS
Just stay positive and trust your coach.
Too much info often screws you up, focus on one thing and fix it then move on to the next area.
