The only trend we care about is winning. That's why we use high modulus unidirectional carbon for the front triangle. Ultra-light, race-proven aluminum for the rear. Ingeniously melded through a proprietary, continuous-fiber lay-up technology. The proportions are huge. The design is obsessively tested. And the result is the lightest, stiffest, most explosive bike we've ever made. The new SystemSix—winning never goes out of style.

  • I've bought the Cannondale SystemSix about 10 months ago and I must say that I LOVE IT.

My previous bike (a Specialized Tarmac) is a TRUCK compared to it.

I wouldnt touch an alu bike unless it had a lifetime warranty.

Do yourself a favour and check your alu bike for even the slightest crack. If you find 1, get a new frame.

My dedacciai scandium frame developed a crack at the bottle cage boss on the downtube. 3 months later the crack had elongated to the point where it actually opened on each downstroke of the pedals.

    Cannondale do alu properly though

Name one continental pro team which uses alu frames?

  • 0:53 talking about lateral stiffness... this is the major thing my System Six lacks! It has poor lateral stiffness in the front triangle (the carbon section). Bottom bracket stiffness seems good put if I pull on the bars at all, it feels really ugly. Anyone else had this issue?

  • Ads are all loaded with key words - oversize, stiffness, feel, integrated, unique, elliptical, lightweight, redesigned, system, efficiency, specific, etc., etc. They all say the same thing. I have a 63cm one of these. It's not stiff if you're a strong rider. My 2005 Opera Giorgione is a much better bike and that's alu. Big carbon frames seem to suffer in big sizes. My carbon Argon 18 in 2006 was also really crap. Every bike is different.

    Team Battley Harley Davidson

They participated in the Tour of Gila a couple weeks ago on the CAAD9s.

I don't know much about their team but they were competing with guys at pro level along with team RadioShack and Garmin.

I can send you the link.

Don't know why Cannondale didn't just give them the SuperSix.

    I wouldn't mind a CAAD9 now.. They got BB30 for 2010 models. Pretty sick.

  • @snifnscratch

CAAD9s are still around buddy. Even in pro races.

  • I just get this bike 2wk ago Very stiff bike responsive , its for speed only

its so light , when i ride it on roller , its all over

the place it take skill to ride it on rolla , i ride the bike up hill & down hill in turn , flat road you name it responsive , 2 fast 2 furious

  • Very stiff bike but amazingly responsive. Don't buy it if you look for comfy rides, only if you want to go fast.

  • Aluminium is obselete on top end bikes today. Ever had an alu bike fail on you? Carbon isnt bombproof, but done well it wont eventually fail under "normal" loads, unless you crash it. Alu fails eventually...................
