@adamworth1979= true. The same goes for the cartoons that came out of Soviet Russia and other iron Curtain countries. Like East Germany's The Sandman. And from Russia, the Hedgehog In The Fog.

We watched this cartoon on Mr. Bill's Cartoons, years ago, and it was our favorite. However, in the cartoon we watched, there was a different dubbing than this one. The snowman melted and said, "Goodblye everyblody, goodblye". I wonder how to the copy witht that particular dub over. Great cartoon, and brings back sweet memories of years gone by. :)

@Hilesmith1 Hi, Wonderful I see you have the cartoon "Snowman In July" I have looked for it for years. I watched it as a kid growing up on WLOS, with Mr. Bill. I would like to get a dvd copy , if possible. My email address is lkta144@aol.com, also, let me know the cost. I lived in Asheville for 27 years and then came back home. Hope to hear from you soon, @oliverkjt

Hello riteleftwing, this is Hile. I am the person you contacted 7 days ago regarding the english dubbed version of "Snowman In July". I have it.
I recorded it from WLOS TV 13 here in Asheville NC in November 2004, also, I made copies on both videotape and dvd.
I don't have it posted on youtube, but I can send you a copy of it on videotape or dvd or both. Just let me know how I can get in touch with you about this.

@Northside777 you're an evil regime

Could be about Leon Trotsky. First he runs around the town stirring up trouble and causing mischief (Russian Revolution) Goes into an icebox at a house out in the middle of nowhere (His many exiles and jail time) Goes to Mexico and spends the rest of his life writing (six months before his assassination he writes about how beautiful the grass, sky and sun are and the world is beautiful.) The rabbit eating the carrot is the next philosopher grabbing hold Trotsky's knowledge and ideas.

Where is the full version? He is supposed to throw the 3 snowball he made in his hat at the dog and the dog go away sadly (I hate that part and I hate snowman because of that lol) but still, where is the full movie?

i seen this when i was a kid, except it was narrated in english.
The cartoon has subtle anti-Nazi symbols. Artist Hans Fischerkoessen was put in prison after the war but then exonerated because his cartoons were realized to be anti-Nazi. Despite being produced by one of the world's most evil regimes, its poignant because the Snowman wants to escape to summer and hides in a refrigerator until July. He dances in the flowers and though happy, he melts but sings that at least he lived to experience good times. Considering the times it was made its very moving.

The lyrics translate as follows:
"This is the summer of my life, how beautiful you are in your dress of flowers. Who ever saw you did not live in vain, my heart melts in sheer bliss -- How beautiful you are ..." then the infatuated snowman melts ... As a symbol of how we all are never fully gone (at least physically), the carrot that was his nose still makes for a fine treat for the commemorating rabbit mommy ... Cheers, Julia
