@mtedeschi you're right, and that whom would be kicking is most likely either Roger Hawkins or Al Jackson, Jr. according to available information after 30 minute search web search. It's a shame that search engines are so tilted toward rip-off 10% music recyclers rather than providing relevant information when queried as precisely as possible. 18 years of researching on the internet (starting with ftp before the web) and it's gotten much worse over time.

@MrLawman10: Mavis's voice is one the greatest voices I've ever heard. Her voice, no matter what song she's singing, captures my very soul. (I'm serious.) Very few singers are able to do that. There's just something spiritually uplifting about her voice. Amazing.

This great song reminds me of my college days when I was a waiter and bartender. At times, for extra cash and to pay tuition fees, I would dance on tables for rich, classy, and so generous ladies.
