SVP Matt Rasmussen: The difference between ignorance and stupidity is knowledge. The ignorant don't know what they don't know and the stupid choose to ignore ALL the overwhelming evidence.

  • It sure is sad that so many people don't really understand MLM. MLM/Network Marketing/ Direct Sales have created more millionaires than all industries combined. It is the training ground for one of the most important things for all people---personal development. It is also where regular people can be exposed to and learn "systems" and the big business model if that is what they are after. I understand also that most people are NOT WILLING to WORK to achieve their dreams....they want it given.

  • the company is not a pyramid scheme because it "looks like" a pyramid; it's a pyramid scheme because of how the business works. even though the structure of the US government roughly (does not) looks like a pyramid (it's actually a triangle structure for checks and balances), they're not into a business where a large amount of income for the employees is based on recruiting =(definition of pyramid scheme) and extremely minor subsidiaries from products

  • I love my Amway business, its great! I go through this very often when I try to talk to people about what i do lol

  • @kuyapjdotcom ofcourse you didn't make any money by "RECRUIT RECRUIT RECRUIT!!".

By the way, I'm working part-time at an MLM company and I earn about 1000$ a month, not much - but still it's a very nice extra money for extra 2 hours of work a day.

  • MLM's nearly always lead to certain loss for new recruits. The founders and a few are at the top of their pyramids of participants are enriched at the expense of a multitude of downline participants, approximately 99% of whom lose money. The sale of products is distributor-driven, not market driven. Most products are sold to new participants to get in on this "ground floor opportunity." Very few products are sold outside the "business". One more reason MLM is a Pyramid Scheme.
