Old run - see video response for updated route.
=====================================
Speedrun through the game up until the Back Hall. Uses new glitches and routes, and is in the range of 30-40 seconds ahead of phanta's run at this point (Can't really say for sure, as I have been timing off the you tube video).
Rainy Hall:
No time saving tricks here really (You can take an OOB route but it is far slower), just get to the end of the level. I intend to go back and see if this time can be improved later.
Old Archives:
I Skip getting the latern, but I trigger the whirlwind as that resets your movement speed (an increase of about .2, which IS needed for later tricks).
Entrance Hall:
I Skip all the areas in the entrance hall by using the chair to save-glitch through a wall.
Refinery:
I attempt to corner boost of the rocks, but only get it in one spot. I then use a box to save-glitch through the floor. The recording is a little laggy here, and execution could be better so I intend to re-do this part.
Cellar Archives:
I corner boost of the box and water monster at the start (slick!) - and proceed to save-glitch through the grate in the next area.
Cellar Maze:
This section took at least 500 attempts to get the first segment (I had landed it twice before, but not as cleanly, and failed on the subsequent boost) and a further 50-100 tries to get the boost and level exit smooth. Note that the thrown barrel must only touch the "wall" otherwise it will get pushed back inside the map. The boost tricks are done by repeatedly jumping against the edge of the box. Catch me now, water lurker ;).
The next video will feature:
Back hall, Storage, Guest Room, Study, Machine room (UGH!), Prison east & west and the cistern entrance. Probably. Got some awesome new glitches (including an awesome new skip in the cistern!) lined up for these spots, so stay tuned.
If you spot any potential improvements, leave a comment and i'll see if I can improve the times some more.
Awesome work man!
I used to speedrun in Super Mario 64, in fact I have a TWR for one stage, your videos might have inspired me to speedrun in Amnesia. Love the skips. Amazing run.
