I just got a wild hair to play this tune I hadn't heard in like 15... 20 years? Just thought I'd upload it to my main channel. Anyway, I never played it b4 but it's one of my all-time Rick Springfield songs. I just learned the parts tonight and threw it down. I ad lib all over the ending like a dog drooling for a steak. heheheh but it's pretty tasty. Uh, the licks, I mean.

The guy doing all the solos on many of Rick's albums is a great guitarist. Great tone and chops but his solos are just tasty and wicked. Tim Pierce I think is his name.

I hope you enjoy and don't mind a bit of music once in a blue moon. I'm really happy with how this turned out considering I have to press the strings with my fingernails mostly. Man I miss using my fingertips!

  • @price1701a Yeah, at least it seems that way when you look at stuff like american idol, america's got talent, radio, whatever. But there are tons of good musicians out there working at McDonalds and such. Heck, I'm jobless with little $ from some voice over I do. No idea where my life will head but it sucks right now.

  • @TruthSurge REAL MUSICIANS! We are a dying breed, brother.

  • @price1701a i have a few other tunes on this channel. Love Somebody is pretty hot. Alyson is cool. and some of my own tunes.

  • @price1701a heheh yeah. I mean, you can easily get jealous when someone isn't as good but yet they're plastered all over the TV, radio, net, etc. But for me, it ain't a guitar thing. I just have always expected a lot from myself and so when I give a compliment it means I truly think someone did above average. thanks!

  • Great stuff from one guitarist to the other (We usually don't give props to each other. It's a guitar thing)

  • @Cootabux Thanks. Yeah, I'm 47 so my music was mostly late 60s and 70s and early 80s. Not so much those you listed but more mid 70s pop and late 70s rock.

I responded to your "war" comments so don't get too ticked off. Just defending my beliefs.
