We found some Bioluminescent Dinoflagellates while hanging out in Hong Kong at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. We decided to see how bright we could get them to glow, pretty amazing.

Getting excited is one thing, but the level of excitement is what I would call an overreaction...

Are you actually asking me if I really believe his statement was literal or just him expressing himself, or are you just trying to be condescending again? Arguing this long over something so trivial only shows you're in it to prove you're better than someone. Just let it go. I wasn't berating the man. I just think his reaction is excessive and therefore funny.

@psychosavant I don't know about you, but I'm glad to see that people can still get excited over nature. Do you really think that he meant that statement that it was the single greatest thing ever? Of course not. That exagerration just shows how excited he was about it. I would have been just as fascinated

How very condescending of you. I'm not saying that it wasn't very pretty. I'm not saying that the biochemistry behind it isn't very fascinating. I myself am pursuing a degree in molecular biology, so believe me, my appreciation for the natural universe and its wonders cannot be overstated (do you seriously believe I got to this video by looking up explosions and car crashes?)

But his reaction is still a bit much even if you ignore him calling it "the single greatest thing ever."

Perhaps something more synthetic would interest you? Maybe you should just go to the movies and watch an action film, with lots of explosions and car crashes. That sounds fucking boring to me though
