in plain English: "I'm not suggesting that the attacker was a member of People Power but, given what happened in Taipei recently, we wonder whether they might be related."
And it's "Taipei", not "TaiPei". Duh!

Oh dear, talk about being verbose!
“I don’t intend to suggest that the attacker was a member of People Power. Nor do I have any evidence to that effect. But I’d like to add that in light of what happened recently in TaiPei, we cannot rule out the possibility that the attack might have been triggered by the assault case.” (as copied from your website)

FROM HIS STANDPOINT

@cghcaks It's not "DONE by Wong Yuk Man on Fung Wai Kwong" were you there to witness the attack? you can say RELATED to Wong and Fung's case as it is what he originally means, he did NOT mention who attacked who in his statement.
