Powerful horns, toe-tapping fiddle and contagious rhythms characterise Habadekuk -- a young and lively nine-man band that catapults folk music well into the 21st century!

Habadekuk's vibrant mix of salsa, jazz and folk gives old Danish dance melodies a new lease of life. Following huge success at home and abroad, they are now more ready than ever to take to the stage with their fast-paced polkas.

The band has become synonymous with energetic, entertaining concerts. They have already wowed audiences at Odense Folk Festival and Danish Music Award Folk, as well as at festivals in Poland and Norway. Recently they won NORD '09, the Nordic folk music championships in Sweden.

The band consists of top musicians known from other groups such as Baltic Crossing, Langlands & Graubæk, Kings of Polka, Horn Amok!, Tip Toe Big Band, Ave, Royal Swing Band, Funky Feet Warmers, Flor, Cala, Jensen & Bugge, Sidsel Marie Band, og Odense Symphony Orchestra
