Well, I finally did it. I got my 1972 Mercedes 220D to start and got it out of long-term storage.

This is a video to show the sound of the OM615 engine.

  • @MrPhotodoc I ran one of my previous Mercedes on WVO. It ran well, but I couldn't find enough oil to make it worth my while. Plus, with my low-tech filtration setup, filtering took forever.

  • Sweet! I have a 75 or 76 (not sure) W115 chassis MB with a 5 cylinder NA motor. I run 50/50% diesel/veggie and she purrs like a kitten. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

  • @aaronpourazar Not sure what to make of your comment. You should have seen how dirty the engine was when I bought the car. I did give it a cleaning then, but it still needs more cleaning.

  • Saw one of these in the salvage yard looked mint the engine was 100 times more nicer than yours
