Recorded December 31, 2006 and Janaury 4, 2007.
Sydney Airport (also known as Kingsford Smith International Airport), is located in the Sydney suburb of Mascot. It is the major airport serving Sydney, and is a major hub for Qantas. Sydney Airport is one of the oldest continually operated airports in the world, and the busiest airport in Australia, handling 31.9 million passengers and 290,346 aircraft movements in 2007. It was the 28th busiest airport in the world in 2003, but has not been in the top 30 since then. Situated next to Botany Bay, the airport has three runways, colloquially known as the "East-West" and two "North-South" runways. It has the smallest land area of any capital city airport in Australia.
There are two parts to this video. The first part was recorded on December 31, 2006 from seat 1A on a Qantas 747-400 as our flight left the Sydney airport. The second part was recorded on January 4, 2007 as I sat in the domestic terminal waiting for my flight to Hobart and recorded plane movements at the airport.

Must be noisy to live there. Perhaps that's why Good Old Peter Garrett represents them (sort of) but lives somewhere else. Sell out, move out, same difference.
