haha, are those your mig welds?
Sweet job, I can't wait till i get mine running.
Just got myself a TIG welder, hope my exhaust comes out a little better ;]

@protomor great! Well as the car runs at the moment with it's stock engine i have plenty of time to finish the engine build to one side :)
-
@te3data Non vanos engines are 10.5:1 CR. Which is kind of high. I'd get a thicker head gasket but not much thicker. 0.10" I think? stock is 0.70" I think.
10psi is more like 0.7 bar. 7 psi is 0.5 bar.

@protomor Oh dang.. i'm swedish.. so that would be like... 0,4Bar boost? I think... that's doable easy!
Do i even have to lower compression for that? Sorry for all the questions but you seem to know alot about these engines!
-
@te3data Should be fine. probably only need about 10psi for that.

@protomor Not bad. I have a volvo 245 turbo that i plan to put an m50b25 into.. and then turbocharge it. Aiming for about 250 - 270bhp.. Should be able to do that with low pressure and good drivablility i guess?
What kind of power does the m50b25 make with 0,5bar boost, at least should make?
I've had my 525i for 4years and 46 000km's :)

@aruba1990 probably 10psi with 0 work. About 20psi with a thicker mls head gasket.
