Great northern warehouse

A corn warehouse built in 1857 for the great northern railway company, it was designed by a Nottingham architect t chine in conjunction with the adjacent main station building on London road (the lower level station) the design incorporated a major technological achievement - the principal roof spanned a huge void with only iron suspension rods supporting the first floor this provided the maximum possible roof space for grain storage. sadly its now a shell due to damage from fire

We dint spend too long here as the wind was picking up and we was losing light but heres what I came up with...

  • Great video of a still amazing looking building. Very sad to see that it is badly trashed. More videos of sites in Nottinghamshire will be much appreciated.

By the way, whats the song called that you used for this video?
