On January 25, 1993, Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga published a virulently homophobic letter to his college newspaper, opposing ALL gay service in the military. In the letter, Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga ridiculed President Bill Clinton's attempt to use an executive order to end discrimination against gays in the military.

Shortly afterward, with a revolt against gay rights in the US Congress and the military, Markos Moulitsas side won and the result was the Dont Ask, Dont Tell policy in which gays have continued to be harassed and expelled from the military. For that, we can thank ex-military people like Markos Moulitsas, who raised their voices against gay rights and against gay service in the military.

  • No shit. Markos openly admits he was a hardcore Republican in his youth (due to social conditioning from upbringing), before he rethought his world view later in life.
