Joey Wilson from Xandem Technology gives a tour of Yang Zhao and Neal Patwari's (University of Utah) subVRT demonstration at SECON 2011 in Salt Lake City. The demo is a subspace decomposition form of variance-based radio tomography that is capable of removing harmless forms of motion in a sensing network.

  • @stevefox247 VRTI systems like this one rely on movement, so if you hold still, you will fade from the image. However, there are parameters that can be set that make it virtually impossible for you to move your body slow enough to not be detected.

  • Hey Joey,

Ute alumn here. Congrats on the new product. One question. Is it only able to detect if someone is actively walking through the field or can someone slowly walk through and not be detected?
