Great song. I wore my Laid Back album out listening to this song. Quarter on the tone arm didn't help, either. I went to college in Greenville, NC and there was a band there that nailed Queen of Hearts....name of the band was Home Cookin'. Damn I miss those days.

If I'm not mistaken Scott Boyer plays today in a killer band out of Muscle Shoals Alabama called the Decoys.They have been playing together for a while and are great!The band is made up of some of those great pro Muscle Shoals Muscians , such as the great David Hood on bass, who played on every bodies records in the sixties and seventies.They are a killer band.Scott is the lead singer and plays guitar too. 12-18-2011

This has been my favorite song of Gregg's for many years. Never dreamed one day I'd have a car that I could permanently load the song into. I still play Laid Back in my car all the time. But I recently heard this song was written for Cher. :-( Blehhh. Not sure that was something I wanted to know.

Gregg's voice is just as strong and beautiful as ever..saw him a few summers back...he's the best...after Ina Gillian he is my favorite vocalist.

The guitarist on the original version is the great Buzz Feiten . Tommy stays quite close to the parts Buzz played .
