Dangerous Bus Pass: Burtons Premier Travel

Burtons Premier Travel bus driver tries to cut in front of me, perhaps unaware that bikes can use bus lanes too. He then immediately stops for the red light. While waiting for the green, at around 41s, you can see how a car joining from the left is forced to give way to an RLJ cyclist. (Not clever.)

However, as we get going again, our Burtons driver takes the opportunity of driving his point home by cutting me off again!

Now, it's dark for sure, so there's a slow motion action replay of the 'best' bits at the end. Oh, for the record

1: I run 5 tail lights (2 on the panniers, 1 on the seatpost and 2 on my helmet) as well as wearing hi-viz gear;

and

2: guess who was first of us to get to Bow? That's right, it was me...

I would guess that the car that nearly takes out the RLJ cyclist also jumps the red as your lights turn green very soon after.

Not so sure on that one, they only serve a smallish retail complex.  That's not a side road: it's the car park, so it's not as if there' through traffic and it's popular with RLJer's.

What Jon said. The driver seemed to have issues, you can only claim that was a mistake once! (although I'm surprised he didn't block the Advanced stop line for you as well!)

Yeah I thought that was odd too, must've been down to his training? He knows better than to block the ASL.
