He desires people to love Him and trust Him based on our relationship with him, although there are so many things vying to show him off as an evil, manipulative God. Although many things are going wrong in our world today, somehow I trust that God knows what he is doing. I believe in Him. I think He created Adam and gave him free will for that purpose - so Adam could love Him by choice...

cmdesign01, my humble submission is that God is looking for love too. The same way we still look for love even when our hearts have been broken time and time again, we still cling to the hope that maybe, just maybe someday we will find it. I believe we are made in his image and we are a mirrie of him. He desires people to love him by choice.

Do you guys ever doubt your walk and God. Do you ever doubt his goodness? Sometimes lately I just feel like God is a big huge puppeteer pulling cosmic strings. Amy knows how I feel in "Faithless Heart"...I know her feart. For mine is the same. Why would God create man knowing he would fall and why would he make an angel named Lucifer knowing he would be cast down taking 1/3 of the angels with him. Why all this struggling. Since it cost him his son. Sorry for the rabbit trail from Amy.

Mercy and Grace is what she sings about ....from a very human perspective. She is a big comfort. I suspect everyone on this page feels a bit like me...from the heart. I'm here living in Australia, a man in his forties just feeling like he was 18 yesterday still listening to Amy for the first time. I am married and have been a christian since I was 16. I've struggled with depression ... bad depression in fact for so long. Surely I am not the only one? "If these walls could speak" Indeed.

I do welcome everyone's comments to me...in fact I almost even plead for them. I am a Christian angry and a bit lost in my faith right now. I just wonder if there are others on her who struggle and fail and get so confused with their walk like me. Amy has been a light to me when I first became a Christian. But Christ says to me" What is that to you, Carly?" In fact I'm jealous of her. I wish I could have met married someone like her even. Thougths welcomed greatly to me.

Amy is and always will be someone I will love and hold close to my heart. Her music has blessed me in ways no one can imagine. But then again maybe they can. She is human. I met her once after a concert. Sang a song with 12 other people with her. I thought she walked on water and was perfect. It's a hard lesson to learn our heros aren't perfect. Christ is the only one who is of course. If I judge her and I'm sure I have, It is too my detriment and not hers. I love her inspite of my heavy words.

loved this song for years with all my heart, but to see her perform it brought tears to my eyes. What a story, what a message, what a song.

I'm sorry u have been so hurt by people that say they are christians. But the Jesus I know isn;t like that. Why don't u find out for yourself what He is really like before u make any rash judgements. Don't judge God by what his followers do.
