this video shows the wrong way to open a durian. The right way is the find the seem as suggested, but only make an opening (with a knife or your nail) big enough to slip your fingers in. it can then be pulled apart easily. The fewer cuts the better, because cutting it and missing the seem (by even a little) will make it harder to open.

Use brains. Dont sit on your butt trying to open a durian. Gravitational force dude. your body weight is concentrated on your butt. Im a girl. I can peel it open. Seriously. So misleading. And you even cut it through. Weaklings.
