  • @selty: Why do you Americans think that things would be good enough only if YOU make them? Who do you think you are? 've seen the three original movies starring Noomi Rapace and Michael Nyqvist and they are excellent, absolutely. This girl Mara has nothing to do with this Swedish actress and so happens with Craig. We do not need Craig and Co. Sweddish were excellent. Americans should be less self-confident and arrogant and start watching around. There are plenty of good fish in the sea.

  • @obscuremedia Let´s not blame Rooney for her interpretation, we must add Fincher direction to her performance in the film, I think Fincher romanticized Lisbeth in his film, making her insecure, a victim. I´m not saying Lisbeth wasn´t a victim but she took care of the situation , Noomi´s Lisbeth is a woman of action, she has control...

  • Noomi es la mejor i like Noomi´s Lisbeth she´s the one & only

  • @samir0810

I don;t say the American version sucks, I only prefer the Swedish version much more.

  • hahaha I love how everyone is trying to be alternative and say the American version sucks. I love the Swedish versions, hell they're awesome, but there's nothing bad with Rooney's performacne (really great in my opinion) and the movie overall. They're both good movies, POINT.

  • Wait what. Armpit hair?

  • @TheDarkNazgul

I agree completely. Noomi was fantastic in all three movies, I was really impressed by her. I am looking forward to seeing her in more movies now that she has gotten such critical acclaim for her role.

I think that is isn't so much that Americans honestly believe we can do it better, it is just that we know that Americans will only give a film the attention it deserves and pay to see it in English. Our track record with remakes is quite horrible but someone still makes money.

  • @mariamtope these differences really don´t matter, you totally miss what it´s all about. Who cares if Noomi is taller and looks older, the important is the character! Fincher´s / Rooney´s Lisbeth might more similar fysically, but psychically is so far from what she should be. Noomi is genial

  • @tyzet4ever you got it! totally agree. Then Rooney´s Lisbeth doesn´t show any signs of being raped and mistreated by men since her 12, she looks just like a normal punk girl with piercings and... What makes Noomi´s Lisbeth such a perfect character is precisely this which Rooney´s Lisbeth lacks

  • @TheDarkNazgul definitely. The Swedish 3 originals are perfect and so is Noomi. Rooney is far behind her in the portrayal of Lisbeth - for me she is NO Lisbeth at all. I feel quite sorry for the Swedish filmakers as the films are really masterpieces, but Fincher´s version had several Oscar nominations amd there´s been created quite a buzz around it, but the film is really not much good.

  • @dazextifo have to agree. if anyone has watched a Fincher film before you would know that his style was definately in the film. I recognized some elements.

  • I prefer Noomi so much more than Rooney. Lisbeth Salander is strong and harder than steel and shows as less as possible emotion. When you see Noomi acting her, she is like: 'Fuck it all, I live my way and if you ever cheat on me or hurt me, I'll kill you!' you know something like that. But when I see Rooney acting her, she makes a look like: 'Please don't hurt me, I'm small and I don't know what to do..' It's not always about the look, it's also about the CHARACTER!
