@InventorGorilla, thank you for your comment. No, I won't see her again. I will not 'talk to God', because there is no god. No god is waiting for me. My mother no longer exists, and after I die I will no longer exist. Nor will you. There is no afterlife.

why would such an all powerful and all loving god punish anybody with eternity in hell for merely thinking rationally. He would forgive hitler who was actually a christian for the holocaust, but at the same time gandhi would burn in hell for being so 'evil' in his life.

cool story, bro

ok, so... the saints are shown what COULD happen to them, so that they praise god all the more? what kind of evil being is this? Thats a straight up threat. Bow to me, or burn as they do.

"In order that the happiness of the saints may be more delightful to them and that they may render more copious thanks to God for it, they are allowed to see perfectly the sufferings of the damned...So that they may be urged the more to praise God" - (Saint) Thomas Aquinas
Could there be any more reprehensible doctrine than this?

My mother is the best person I have known and she was a believer so in principle she went to heaven. I have been an atheist for more than 11 years and I think I will not change my mind, which means I will go to hell. I am sure my mother would not be happy in heaven and that proves the immorality of this doctrine. Your video points out this contradiction brilliantly.

This is one of the points that I made to my Christian sister. When I painted this scenario to her, telling her that it would be me & my son, who I know she loves dearly, in the 'pits of hell', she was unable to answer, at first, & then went on to admit that, no she wouldn't be happy to be in 'heaven' whilst we were being tortured for an eternity in 'hell'. I said, according to her belief, that's exactly what her god would expect her to do.

To base an afterlife on the Thoughts someone has is simply Tyrannical.
This is nothing short of a George Owellian State.

Ed... I am so bloody sorry...
Any paradise where I would be separated from those I love, even the weird ones, is not a paradise. In my mind this is the paradox that dooms the idea of heaven or hell.
With even one of my family in hell suffering unspeakable torture it would not be paradise therefore either god has to acquiesce to my parents also being in heaven or his promise is not kept.
This was one of my first steps away from belief and blind faith.

I think it is rather commonplace for us to believe that we are not forged by a mold of a supreme creator, for that allows us to believe that there are no consequences for our actions here on earth. Sadly, as with your story you tell in this video, which I believe you are genuine about, it matters little difference what we believe when it comes to God. Rather God is what He is, and if we cannot accept that, he is sad by our choices, but not changed by them.

@goclones123, you say 'God is what he is'. I say, there is no credible evidence for the existence of any god. You say that your god is 'sad' if I do not accept his existence. How do you know that? How do you know that there is a god, who 'is what he is'? It isn't Thor or Zeus or Poseidon or Baal or Ra, is it? How do you know? And you do not address the main issue in this video, which is: How could heaven be pleasant for me if I am told that my mother, an extremely good person, is in hell?

I admire your bravery in your none belief in a deity and will subscribe to your channel. An obviously sincere and intelligent man.
