  • The last definitions you listed (3 and 4)... definitely Jehovah's Witnesses. So glad to have escaped that cult.

  • Don't pluck your eyebrows quite so much; the shape looks unnatural

    You have GREAT HAIR though!

  • Thank you 2020hindsight.

  • your a cult

  • Christianity - The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree

Nah, does not sound like a cult to me

  • People live together and have to share this planet, we need rules but not the rule of all for me and none for you. To say all rules are bad is wrong. To say all groups of people who work together are cults is wrong. Cults have very specific characteristics that make them abusive and not all groups are like this.

  • Look at the control and conflict theories of deviance. Some laws are abusive (conflict theories look at this). An entire country can be a cult (Nazi Germany). A relationship between two people can be a cult (if it is an abusive relationship where one has more power and abuses it). A school can be a cult (look at residential schools).

  • I see where you are going with this argument now. You seem to think, in my opinion, that any group that has rules is a cult. In many cases, you are probably right. Dissent is punished in groups. Groups scapegoat those who are different. Groups can trample on the rights of the individual or on most members and only a few are allowed to have freedoms and rights. But I think some laws are necessary and good.

  • There all different kinds of cults. In some cults there are more leaders, so that the other doesnt get out of hand, at least in some. But like you are talking about abuse and punishment they make their cults as to not be punished.
