I work at a veterinary clinic trimming dogs nails on a daily basis, dogs do not naturally like having their feet messed with, many just freak out before you trim their nails. Quicking their nails happens sometimes, but with proper handling that is reduced greatly!

Only one nerve/vein called the quick, it wouldv'e bled, the dog would have yelped. All chihuahuas hate their nails cut.

That really wasn't too bad. I've done nails on dogs who were 50x worse!! You gotta love 'em though!

got bit 3 times while doing my dog, got tetanus shot and back on clippn :P this time with heavy duty welding gloves and a muzzle for the dog... THATS WHY MEN RULE THE EARTH! xD

Oh, he does not actually bite at all. He pretend, but has never every bit in 5 years. Never a scratch on us. It is just a show. LOL He is an angel!
