India's growing wealth is having all kinds of side-effects. One of the worrying trends is a growing sense of lawlessness, perhaps arising from the feeling that law itself is mired in corruption. Bribes are seen as perks by many government officials and stealing from government (e.g., land, electricity) is seen as fair game by a growing number of ordinary citizens. This video shows bricks (which the Ghaziabad Development Authority - GDA had bought in order to build a boundary wall for Gangotri tower) being systematically stolen for being re-sold in the common market.
