What an honor it must be to your fathers memory, to sing this beautiful piece at his funeral. That last verse fits perfectly from the description you gave of his heart condition. May his soul rest in piece and terry in the house of the lord forever.

Very Well done... I am a believer and I too have been set free!
"The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one." - 1 Corinthians 2:14-15

beautiful tribute to your father. God Bless him....
I'm in no way religious, but this song tugs at my heart strings every time... If there is a God, your song is surely calling to him

Thank you for taking the time to listen & comment. I'm so glad that song is a blessing to you, even if you don't share my beliefs. :-) It just goes to show that, over 200 years later, it's the song that my God uses to touch people, not the singer. :-)

Bless your heart...I am so sorry for your loss. And to be so young. Even though I am a "bit" older, it doesn't make it much easier. You're right...God is the Father to the fatherless. He will always be there when we need to run to "Daddy" for comfort, love, wisdom...anything.
I miss my dad every day too. It does get easier as time passes, but you'll begin to shift from missing him to remembering the good times and being glad that you had those moments with him.
Praying for you...
