An ALIE Project from Sweden in Authentic Learning

A SWEDISH AUTHENTIC MODEL EKA

E stands for Engagement. This is achieved by giving students missions which consists of parts of the contents in different courses for example Swedish, Mathematics and some vocational subjects. The students make their own choices in the group regarding planning, excution and evaluation.

K stands for Knowledge. The missions are evaluated by the teachers and sometimes together with people from the industry.

A stands for Arbetsmiljö, Swedish for Working Conditions. The students get more responsibility, are more engaged and more satisfied with their work. This makes the relation between the teacher and the students better and thus better working conditions for everybody.
