  • Do these newer Marlin rifles have better triggers than the older ones?

  • @Howland2194 No it is not it is a Marlin .308 go to Hornady & download ballistics chart k.

  • @HawaiiJuniorCycling P dopey .308 is .308. 300 win mag is .308 silly 30-06 is .308. M16 is .308. .308 winchester is .308. This Marlin just has a little less powder certainly not a small gun by any means. I have used 6mm remington on a lot of game with 100 grain bullets, 6mm is .243 but a tiny bit faster than .243 winchester.

  • @gunslinger5854 It is just he never hit spine. I hit a buck in liver with my .375 H&H. He ran. I saw a deer standing on trail looking at me shall we say a bit perplexed & was afraid to shoot incase of dropping a second one by accident. Sure enough it was him so ended his suffering. My friend took over 40 moose with 30-30 back in the day not to mention grizzly & everything else with 32 winchester special. No this gun will do fine & daughters is in mail.

  • @Knightnumber7 NOOOOO do not ever cross match ammo like this. 308 winchester is a completely different caliber you will blow yourself to the moon okay!

  • @butlerjohn84 takes more skill to get close rather than sitting out at 300 and plus there's less variants at 100 so more chance of a clean humane shot!

  • i'm having a hard time looking for the .308 express ammo in my area. Can I use a .308 win with my marlin 308 express instead?

  • I will soon have one cant wait

  • Jus sighted in my new Marlin 308 express last night. I am an occasional shooter and even I was able to shoot 1" patterns at 100 yards. The accuracy of this gun and cartridge is in a completely different league than the 30-30. There is just no comparison.

  • Question. Why are .308 marlin levers not setup to for 6 shots in the tube? Does it have to do with the ammo being too volitile due to the extra pressure generated by the tube spring on the 1st round and the fact that all the rounds are inline vs catridge? Just wondering. They should make these rifles hold as much as possible
