Cantiga de Santa Maria 421 - Nenbressete madre de Deus (7 voices) :This eleventh poem, another day devoted to Saint Mary, tells how She comes to our aid on Judgement Day and asks Her Son to have mercy upon us.

Remember, 0 Mother
of God, Mary,
who with Him, your Father,
constantly intercede on our behalf
for you are in His company
and you are our guide.
May He who chose to create us,
watch over us
day and night, that we may be sure
He will not show us
His severity,
but that He may fully grant us
His great mercy
since He sees our weakness
and our folly,
which boldly
turns us away
from the path of righteousness
which would lead us
to the right destination,
where He would give us
everlasting joy,
which would never be lacking,
would never fail,
but would increase
and grow
and would fill us
and bring us
great delight!
