the only reason he never got 1st or 2nd was the media machine only focused on Hawk and Hosoi..He was a pure ripper natural talent on a board..His skate legacy will always be tarnished for what he did..But he was great..He could skate street .everyone has bad day on a board and they chose that footage to fit that part of story.Like that was the catalyst is his erratic behavior everyone around him we are self absorbed and did notice the cry for help..they just laughed at him...great friends, huh.

@ambush77 - i don't pretend to be a skate fan or have a lot of knowledge about the sport ; but, while MR was very good, i was amazed at what CH could do. it seemed impossible for a person to go that high on a skateboard.

@noirkitten I grew up and skated in the 80s and while I always like dgator I have to be honest he seldom placed 1st or second place. That was usually always hawk or hosoi. Mark would be likelike cinderella or europe in the 80s rock scene. he was not a van halen or a motley crue

your true feelings?? Easy to decipher. If Mark Rogowski had been a fat slob nobody we wouldn't even be having this conversation. You are no different than anyone else who is infatuated with celebrity. You just want to fuck him, and your attraction to him blinds you to the fact that he is no different than any other selfish sociopath (who still to this day does not take full responsibility for what he did).

I don't care what his diagnosis is. He chose to kill someone.

@noirkitten oh, well, lets see. I have plenty of money from my skateboard career & even if it is running out, I have assets that are worth something. I am enough in my control of my mental state to get up every day and go thru the rest of life's motions. I am smart enough to hide my crime so that I can get away with it. So in reality, I have my head together enough to get some help, regardless of what a bunch of holy rollers tell me.

@noirkitten Jeff Phillips, a true 'trailblazer of the game', lost his grip on things too. But he took his OWN life, not someone elses. Mark must be a friend of yours, and it must be tough so I feel your frustration.
