Khru John (Teacher John)

John teaches basic spoken English to several classes at six public schools using the Baan Thung Yang School as his base. In exchange for a sleeping corner and the teaching privileges at Baan Thung Yang Intermediate School, John wholeheartedly donates his time by giving free lessons wherever he is assigned. He feels that the spoken Thai that he learns first-hand from the children and the staff, the human rapport he has been able to establish, and the opportunity to live really in the countryside is worth his time and effort.
