  • This is from, I believe 1963. He has atleast one other take on this song that is pretty good(I think anyway) But, to me,this is the classic one!

  • Well he made three takes of the song. One was for the first take of The Sound of Johnny Cash which never came to fruition was in 1961. The version being played now was released on the final take of the Sound of Johnny Cash which was 1962. The third take was taken of late 62 because Cash's voice is hoarse. If you would like I can post the other two takes.
