I remember that game. It was 6 goals for chili. After the 2nd period, it was 8-2. They announced to the crowd that they'd give double chili for 10 goals. The next time the teams met, Ranger fans were tossing globs of chili onto the ice. They talked about it for months.

... A couple of notes on this game: Soetart gave up all 10 goals the Islanders scored, on just 26 shots. The Islanders scored 6 unanswered goals in the second period on just 13 shots. Ouch.
