Although better known today as a country artist and songwriter, Dickey's musical career began on a pop level with such hits as "Patches" which was Top 10 in 1962, and this number, "I Saw Linda Yesterday" which went to #14 in December of that same year.
I had totally forgotten this song. Now after more than 40 years I know that this was not Dion and the Belmonts (sure sounds like them though).

@Mikebb5m If you are able to wait long enough, great things happen. I'm happy for you!

OH NO!!! UNLUCKY 13!!! "I Saw Linda Yesterday" peaked at No. 13 and spent a total of 12 weeks in the Billboard's Top 100 in 1962/63, it entered the charts on December 8th, 1962...
(But then again; there are thousands and thousands of songs on You Tube that never charted at all)
Also in 1963 Britsh singer doug Sheldon had a version of this song on the U.K. charts

I used to play this over and over at age 12. I just found the record at my grandmothers house. This was my first time to hear it in 40 yrs and still love it.
