Inside the stryker you will find a sticker that does say made in Canada.
-
@Senkrad1234 These are manufactured in the USA by General Dynamics but the initial design is from Mowag which is a swiss company.
Actually the Stryker is an evolution of the canadian LAV, which is itself an evolution of the Mowag Piranha.
-
@sonjawoodtli. Not quite The Swiss make many LAVs, but the stryker is American. Though its heavily based on Mowag.

Swiss made! Mowag

2q bravo you have to get assigned to it

The Stryker is a highly versatile piece of engineering. However, they are more prone to causing collateral damage to the villages and towns we take them thru due to the AOA (Add-On Armor), and "slat" armor than the MRAP's. We are currently in the northwestern Baghdad area, and are configured for ATGM's and a Cat II MRAP (the RG-33 Plus). While the Stryker is great on highways, larger roadways, paved roads/dirt roads, it is a very difficult task driving them along the canal-ways.

19d cavalry scout is youre best bet but its hard to find a spot in 19 delta

They Strykers are cool and all but they are a bullet magnet and your not protected as well as they say you are MRAP or the Cougar is the safest Squad vehicle

It's my understanding that it's not an MOS-based thing. You can be infantry, tanker, chemical, whatever. As long as the unit has Strykers, you just ask to get licensed to drive the Strykers. They have a bunch of different mods, some are used by medical companies for EVAC, some are used by EOD, you can be tons of MOSs and wind up driving your unit's Stryker.

Thanks wilburhog.
Another vet said they never used 'Gavin' too but gave me the list that I mentioned. 'Can' is self-explanatory and 'hump' probably meant the 'track' did the hump instead of you.
Happy trails!
Those things are VERY cool. What country makes them?

The company is called General Dynamics. Whether or not they do all their manufacturing in the USA, I'm not sure. But I think so.
