Showed this to my kids(Jr.high 3rd and 1st). THEY LOVE THIS!! Your kids are lucky to have classes like this. I especially liked the part where the kids correct your Japanese.

Dude, your lesson is brilliant on so many levels, and simple too. Head's up that I'll definitely be borrowing some of your ideas and trying them out nearby in 隣の大分県 =)
If you don't mind some random questions here...(?) What grade level are the kids you teach? How often do you teach them? / What types of schools do you teach at?

I was JET for 3 years so can really appreciate how good you are at your job! The kids have lovely pronunciation, well done!

From a fellow ALT, you rock man! Awesome lesson, and a great way to also bring technology into the classroom too. p.s. thanks for clarifying what we're supposed to translate hambaagu to in English! I've always taught hamburger patty and it gets super confusing! I'll definitely add in reverse gairaigo into my lessons next time :) p.s. your Japanese is awesome...how!?

7:38 I remember ordering my first hot cocoa while in Japan. The girl behind the counter had a good hard time figuring out my order, and it took me a while to realize that cocoa doesn't translate to ココー but to ココア. If only either of us had had a similar lesson!

Love this. Never really seen this kind of approach to teaching in elementary schools. Very refreshing....I'm sure your students must really dig it. Good for you, keep it up.
To MissKirin6 and all of you puttin' up the kind words and recognizing the lesson for what it is, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This is what teachin' is all about, right? Gettin' the kids to stay interested and not making it all about the person standing in front. Keepin' the lessons fresh, colorful and focusing on creating a student-centered environment is what I do.
To those of you using my videos in class, more power to you. Take that which is useful and make it your own. 1luv
