Seems like alot of fun.

Actually according to the Society for Creative Anachronism website, listed in the write up states the following;
"The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe.”
The participant decides what part of pre 17th century Europe they like and then do their best to recreate it. The name says it all.

So... in the disclaimer it says I'M AN IDIOT? Well, allow me to retort: I didn't spend hundreds of dollars (if not thousands) to build a suit of armor, buy the bitches gowns, buy a tent, etc to go play medival warrior in the woods. Geez--nerds on steroids.

@Evil70th Thanks ^_^

I do MMA, mostly Karate, Jujitsu and some Muaythai. But this is gonna be my newest martial arts adventure! This is gonna be EPIC!!! European martial arts, I better kiss my girl before I go off to WAR!!! xD haha You guys are freakin' crazy nerds, the jocks of the nerds xD haha But you all have my respect, and I'm getting nerdier every second since I've found this nonsense. I've been looking up European war tactics and Viking axe techniques. I'm going in round shield and axe!

I did this from 74 to the early 90's most fun I ever had. ALSO: LOVE the Wagner music...'Death of Siegfreig!"

@Evil70th now does persona part have to be looked up or could it be made up?

@Evil70th We had an amazing time and yes, there was so much more to it than combat. Can't wait to do it again!

The video is great! My husband and I just joined the SCA. We are now members of the Barony of Hawkwood and our first event is coming up. I really can't wait to participate! Thanks again for the wonderful video!

@ladysienna2000 We are glad you liked the video. I'm sure by now you've both figured out there is more to the SCA than just combat. So have fun otherwise why bother. ;o)

@Dimitri0809 It is intense and a lot of fun. Your fencing experience may help you but remember in a large combat scenario as depicted in the video it is also about team work. Good luck and have fun.
