http://mac20q.com - I show how to normailse a sound using Amadeus Pro from Hairersoft.

Normalising can sometimes mess up a sound and it is better if you can get the levels right first or perhaps use levelator application.

  • I bought this recently and I love the clean interface. One thing that is driving me bonkers though is the lack of shortcuts commonplace in most DAWs or audio editors. My editing would be a lot smoother if I didn't have to go through menus to find Normalize or Generate Silence, etc. You can't use OSX' keyboard shortcut utility for it either. Might have to write the author about it. Given the complexity of designing a software like this it should be a quick thing to implement.

  • Excellent. I have been using Levelator to do this, but this will save having to use a separate program. It is also excellent for removing clicks, pops, and hiss from analog audio.
