John built a color mixing & unmixing demonstration. Here is our first attempt (on 1/3/12). We'll probably need to create a larger gap between the inner and outer cylinders. If you google, "Harvard Natural Sciences Lecture Demonstrations: - Fluid Dynamics Reversible Fluid Mixing" you'll find an interesting pdf file that will give you a good idea of how to build one. It also has some stunning pictures as well as references. The Steve Spangler video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3YZ5veN_Bg) is better than ours, so you might wish to check it out.
