To think how great people like these built Britain, and how we have destroyed their inheritance

The only living person who still was a major part of this film is Maureen O'Hara. She is now 92 yrs old. She still travels to Ireland when possible and goes to celebrate her time there with 2nd and 3rd generations of those who were there filming The Quiet Man. One of my many other favorite films that John Ford made.

You'd think a film set in Wales would at least have Welsh actors. Doesn't even provide an accurate representation of Welsh miners.

This film is so touching. I read the book, shortly after watching this for the first time and loved it just as much. Please, if you have the time, read the book too. It's a tear-jerker and beautifully written!

GOD IS WAITING FOR HER MATE. BUT I DONT THINK HE WILL LET HER IN AND SEND HER UNDERGROUND WHERE THE MINERS WORKED FOR NOTHING. SO HER PEOPLE GOT RICH
