Old Friends and New on the Dan River

Carol and I had a spectacular Sunday afternoon on the river with lots of friends. Please note that while the adults were a bit slack in the PFD department the kids were uniformly "jacketed". Special thanks to Bruce Burgess and the River Derelicts for the audio track!

@EagleMedieval I don't know a lot about how to compress video - I just upload to Youtube and let it do what it will. You should be able to get better playback by switching to the 240p resolution - in the player's toolbar toward the right side.

And thanks for the compliment - local banjo player extraordinaire, Bruce Burgess, was the string tickler.

This is the section in Stokes County from Hwy 89 to Hanging Rock State Park. The Dan River Company provided shuttle and two of our boats. A very sweet afternoon.

@geosafe1 Just saw your comment! That's the Hanging Rock section of the river. The Dan River Company provide at least one of our boats and shuttled all of us.
