How-to forge weld (braze) an aluminum straight barshoe using Harris Cor-Al brazing rod and 6061 3/8" x 1" aluminum barstock. Very easy once you learn to do it, and it'll save you a ton of money on stocking aluminum barshoes.

  • Nice to watch your work!

  • I guess the flux removes oxides. Aluminum oxides are strong and from quicker than steel. What I read is that the oxides prevents a good weld. theoretically aluminum can be forged weld if has clean surface.
