love him or hate him, no matter, he is an Australian and should be supported by the government when he most deeds it. This is not really about Assange IMO, this is about ALL Australians. If we allow even ONE Aussie to be cast aside or used as political pawn then we fail to protect our citizens. One human rights violation is ok? Then maybe 10 violations? 1,000 violations? Even if you hate Assange you must stand up for him, he is an Australian citizen, end of story.

And I have noticed this a lot lately in western politics. It seems to be a trend to suddenly have leaders that actually weren't born in your country, and a history hard to trace. A simple game to make the average person overlook the common sense facts that this person is not who they say they are. Does Obama ring any bells?

If what you say is true, then that is all the more reason to believe that she isn't who you think she is. She is an actor and is undermining your country's ethics and common sense. Look up Jodie Foster. Julia is actually her. And you can be sure that any written history of the woman is a lie.

"executed like Jesus the criminal fag"- were you trying to insult Assange and Jesus in the one sentence or liken them to each other. I am shocked at the amount of posts advocating violence! Neither Assange, Gillard or Abbott are my favorite people but violence is never the answer. Children learn this at young age then they see Gov support wars, mixed messages. You appose Assange who has never promoted violence by wishing to execute him..I would support him over you any day. Peace!

I think you misunderstand unemployment, it has nothing to do with people being lazy. No one would live on the pittance of the dole rather than a decent earning. The way say it is like it is a lifestyle choice to be poor. The amount of well educated unemployed and underemployed is insane, this increase of part time and casual jobs adding to insecurity of employment. Best you look into the reality before labeling people as 'lazy' and blaming them for the job market.

I have checked out Wikileaks Party who are also on facebook too but I fail to find much info about anything...maybe sites and party ideas are still being formalized, not sure. At this point in time with no real options, Im on the verge of trying my luck giving them my vote anyway. Surely they can't be any worse! *holds breath*

well said ShockBrotherStudio. I wish I had the solutions, something we can actively start to implement towards a better world. As you mention, it is not just AU or US, its a global issue with select people with 'fingers in every cookie jar' calling the shots. I could suggest to do away with money so those would not hold any power, start from scratch. Reality is this can't happen either...so what to do?
