"Only Ones" who should have guns...

Hoplophobes and liberals say that the police and military are "the only ones" who should have guns.

Yet civilians' safety records, crime prevention stats, and hit counts in firefights far surpass those of cops!

Add that to the fact that law enforcement agencies are enforcing and profiting off of laws that are unconstitutional, and a lover of Liberty is right to be concerned.

The War on (some) Drugs is a war on the American people, and it and the post-911 trading of essential Liberty for false security have cost the American people greatly in both treasure and Liberty.

As John Adams said, "Liberty, once lost, is lost forever."

Whether you're a professional or a civilain, when a gun is considered "unloaded", treat it as loaded.

Make SURE it's unloaded, and ALWAYS keep the muzzle pointed in a SAFE direction, regardless of its state of charge.

In the same way that it's not right to call a car wreck a traffic "accident", there are no "accidental discharges" of firearms, only unintended discharges.

@ nullr.....that's why the term "prevention" exists. Are you going to take the wife on a leisurely stroll down a street where Leroy and his gang are patrolling? shouldn't you take her somewhere nice? But, following up your thought, are you suggesting we go back to the old west where almost everybody is a gunslinger, even the enebriated ones? Think about that, doesn't that just make Leroy and his gang more dangerous? All of them walking around armed?
