-Victoria's POV-
I walked back to the garden where we ate. I went beyond the table and walked until I came up to a gazebo. I went in and noticed that the edges of the bench were lined with gold. I ran my finger across the gold metal and I heard a voice.
"Do you like it?"
I looked and saw Prince Nicholas with a small smile, standing in the entrance. He came and sat next to me.
"This is my favorite place. I think it's a wonderful place to think."
I nodded. "It is indeed peaceful." I shifted in my chair a bit. "Um...could I ask you something?"
"Anything."
"What do you think about this? Getting married and all?"
He shifted in his seat. "Um..."
"You don't have to answer if you don't want. I personally wouldn't want to answer that."
He shook his head. "No, I just...don't know how I feel right now. You?"
"I...I don't think I'm ready yet, that's all."
He nodded. "Well, I'm sure I'm not anymore ready than you are. We are only 16 years of age. But...we can try to go through this together, right?"
I nodded and smiled.

-Megan's POV-
My carriage pulled up to the palace and I got out. It was grand. I was escorted through the doors and there was a huge staircase before me. I looked around in awe and I saw Prince Joseph come toward me. My heart sped up immediately and he stopped as I curtsied.
"Um..please...just, don't curtsy. Well, in private."
I smiled and nodded.
"And what is your name, may I ask?"
"Megan, your highness."
"Um, yeah...don't do that either. In private. I...wait. Follow me."
And he turned...and...well, walked away. That was...a little unusual. I followed him up the stairs and we turned and walked through a hallway. We came to a door and he slowly opened the door.
"This is your room," he said, and turned to me. "Well, as I was saying, just...treat me as you would a friend when we're in private. I just...don't like all the curtsies and "Your Highness" and "Prince Joseph" and all of that other stuff. So, when we're alone, I'll call you Megan and you'll call me Joe."
I nodded. "Okay...Joe."
He laughed. "So...how long did you travel?"
"About 5 hours time," I said.
His eyes widened. "My goodness! I...wow. That's a long journey."
"I agree, but it's worth the trip, is it not?" I asked, pulling off my gloves.
He smiled. "Perhaps it is."

-Kara's POV-
I was awakened by the same servant that came in earlier.
"Miss? Dinner is in an hour's time. Perhaps you'd like to get freshened up?"
I nodded and got up. She drew me a bath and I got dressed in what was almost a ball gown. It was a burgundy color and I got my hair done. From what I heard, there was an important person to be in attendance tonight. I slipped my feet into my shoes and put on a cameo and examined myself in the mirror. I went over to Kevin's room and knocked. He opened the door and smiled.
"You look beautiful," he said.
"Thank you," I said.
He smiled and then continued talking. "As much as I'd hate to do this, do you mind going over to Joseph's room and telling him that dinner is soon? Maybe he actually won't be late tonight."
I froze. Um, that was not okay. Should I tell him about earlier today? Maybe not. Hopefully Prince Joseph was just giving a compliment and nothing more. I nodded and exited the room. I went down the hall and knocked.
"Who is it?" I heard his voice say from behind the door.
"Um, it's Kara."
There was a pause and I heard a bit of shuffling. Then he finally spoke. "You may come in."
I slowly opened the door and he saw me come in through his mirror. He was trying to fix his tie. The poor thing. I'm not sure he knew how. He fiddled with it and then sighed with frustration. Then I heard him mutter something under his breath. He turned to me with a look of aggravation.
"I'd hate to be a bother, but do you mind PLEASE helping me with this tie?"
I laughed a bit and nodded. "Of course." I walked over and began working on his tie. "Surely you should learn exactly HOW to tie your own tie, your highness."
"Perhaps I already do..."
I looked up and felt his breath hit my face. I looked into his eyes and instantly regretted it.
